Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.
It is this bespoke design, craftsmanship and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the world's most sought-after car brand. The company continues to push boundaries with the latest technologies and craftsmanship. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear window sunroof and a crafted Apple iPad docking station.

They can choose anything from picturesque vistas to sporting events. As each selection is made, a pattern appears and reveals the design and color preferences for the custom Bentley.

Bentley estimates that it takes about 500 man-hours to build and assemble a Mulsanne. The unwillingness to embrace modern technology is the key to this lengthy and laborious process. Instead of using a machine to space the perfectly matched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. And rather than letting the car's built-in sensors guide it to perpendicular and parallel parking spaces the drivers must do it manually.
The event also saw Bentley presented its Mulliner personalization capabilities by presenting one particular example of the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The limited-edition cars come with a special key that displays a slice of the 1930 8 Litre's crankshaft.
